.. <br />? <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that the COUNTY and the CITY enter into an agreement <br />in order to carry out the coordination and responsibilities of the FY05 SHSGP grant award <br />and description of the program contained in Attachment I; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICE <br />The CITY will provide all services and assure adherence to the requirements as set forth in <br />Attachments I, II, and Exhibits A and B during the period from October 1, 2004 through and <br />including September 30, 2006, or as adjusted by approved formal request for a grant period <br />change, program modification, or grant extension. Provided monies will be used for backf'ill <br />or overtime of CITY Fire Department employee(s) teaching or taking an approved Office of <br />Domestic Preparedness (ODP) Structural Collapse Operations (SCO) training course. <br />The ODP SCO is being administered by the Ohio Fire Academy on June 19, 2006 through <br />and including June 23, 2006 and on June 26, 2006 through and including June 30, 2006 in <br />various locations in Cuyahoga County and the surrounding Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) <br />region. Any changes or deviations from the ODP SCO training course must be set forth in <br />writing and approved by the COiJNTY prior to implementation. <br />Funds may be used to enhance the capabilities of State and local emergency preparedness and <br />response personnel through development of a State and urban area homeland security training <br />program. Allowable training-related costs include: 1) establishment of SCO training programs <br />within existing training academies, universities or junior colleges; and 2) overtime and <br />backfill costs associated with attendance at ODP-sponsored and approved SCO courses <br />(Attachment I.) <br />II. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT <br />A. Reimbursement <br />The COUNTY shall reimburse the CITY for 100% of approved eligible expenses <br />incurred by the CITY designated in Attachment I for the acquisition of training solely <br />out of the grant funds for the program in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand <br />Five Hundred Sixty Dollars ($5,560.00). The CITY will submit a final <br />reimbursement request to the COLTNTY no later than September 30, 2006, <br />B. Overtime/ Backfill <br />Overtime and backfill funding for emergency preparedness and response personnel <br />attending ODP-sponsored and approved training classes - <br />2
