CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2006 - 118 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />TO AUGMENT AND ASSIST THE CITY'S DIVISION OF <br />ENGINEERING; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />PERSON OR FIRM SELECTED IN THE RFP PROCESS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCYAS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended to this Council that <br />it authorize him, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 111.03 of the North Olmsted <br />Codified Ordinances, to initiate an RFP process to select a qualified person or firm to <br />provide professional consulting engineering services to augment and assist the City's <br />Division of Engineering; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the recommendation of the Director of Public <br />Service, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />request proposals from persons and/or firms qualified to provide professional consulting <br />engineering services to augment and assist the City's Division of Engineering, and furthei <br />to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the person and/or firms selected in <br />the RFP process and approved by the Board of Control; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is authorized <br />to request proposals from persons andlor firms qualified to provide professional <br />consulting engineering services to augment and assist the City's Division of Engineering, <br />in accordance with the Request for Proposals prepared by the Directar of Public Service. <br />A copy of the said Request for Proposals and a sample Personal Services Agreement are <br />attached to this Ordinance, respectively, as Exhibits A and B.
