..? <br />Ordinance No. 2006-118 <br />? <br />? <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement or agreements with the person andlor <br />firms selected in the RFP process. Said agreement shall be in the form of the Agreement <br />attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit B, with such additional modifications and changes <br />in form or in substance that are not substantially adverse to the City and which are <br />approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being <br />substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect <br />immediately because the City is presently without a permanent City Engineer and there is <br />a critical need to initiate this RFP process at the earliest possible date in order to obtain <br />the services of a permanent Engineer to address the critical staffing needs in the City's <br />Division of Engineering, and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: - l 0 CATTEST.• <br /> <br />First Reading: _ <br />Second Reading.• <br />Third Reading.• _ <br />Committee: <br /> <br />BARBARA L.
