APPENDIX B <br />CITY ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />Sco pe of Se rvi ce s <br />A. Intent of the Engineering Services: The City has prepared this RFP with the <br />intention of retaining the services of an engineering firm to: <br />1. Assist the City of North Olmsted's Division of Engineering services. Provide a <br />City Engineer who shall be registered as a professional engineer in the State of <br />Ohio; <br />2. The City Engineer shall report to the Director of Public Service; <br />3. The City Engineer shall plan on going to the City of North Olmsted City Hall <br />during working hours at least 2 days per week; <br />4. The City Engineer shall perform such duties consistent with the office as may <br />be required by the Charter, by ordinance of Council, or as directed by the <br />Mayor; <br />5. The City Engineer shall give advice to Council, the Service Director, the Mayor, <br />the Planning Commission and other City administration officials on all <br />problems pertaining to engineering, zoning, building, sewers, development and <br />repair of property in the City, including, but not limited to, the streets therein; <br />6. To attend all Planning Commission meetings and, when requested, Council <br />meetings and committee meetings and conferences; <br />7. To deliver periodic reports, or reports as requested, on progress of <br />improvements under the charge of the Division of Engineering; <br />8. To do engineering work required by and for the City or its officials; <br />B. Basic Scope of the Engineering Services: In providing the Scope of Services, the <br />engineering firm will place special emphasis on: <br />1. Assist in the preparation of the annual Division of Engineering budget; <br />2. Administer the construction contracts for the following projects: <br />a) City Hall Front Entrance Renovation <br />b) Clague Road Reconstruction <br />1
