• aW <br />Ordinance No. 2006-111 <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to request proposals <br />from persons and/or firms, including but not limited to lawyers and law firms, to provide <br />professional labor negotiator services to the City, as employer, in the 2006-2007 <br />collective bargaining cycle, in accordance with the Request for Proposals prepared by the <br />office of the Mayor. A copy of the said Request for Proposals and a sample Professional <br />Services Agreement are attached to this Ordinance, respectively, as Exhibits A and B. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement or agreements with the person and/or <br />firms selected in the RFP process. Said agreement shall be in the form of the Agreement <br />attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit B, with such additional modifications and changes <br />in form ar in substance that are not substantially adverse to the City and which are <br />approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being <br />substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect <br />immediately because the City must complete its selection of a labor negotiator by early <br />Summer in order to effectively prepare for the Fall collective bargaining negotiations; <br />and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED: QZ'X? o?? -?04 L <br />ATT . <br />ARBARA L.
