BY: <br /> <br />ORD INANCE I?0 . ?a 0 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF GESSNER ROAD, FHOM LORAIN <br />ROAD TO WALTER ROAD, BY THE <br />CONSTRUC'I'ION OF A WATER MAIN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PJORTH OLNISTED, OHIO : <br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving <br />Gessner Road, from Lorain ftoad to Walter Road, by the construction of <br />a water main, amounts in the aggregate to $20,200.00, as reported <br />to this Council by the City Engineer, notice of the fiiing of which <br />assessment has been given, as required by law, be and the same is herebp <br />adopted and confirmed and that there be and is herebp levied upon all of <br />the lots and land bounding and abutting upon Gessner Road, from Lorain <br />Road to Walter Road, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which <br />assessments, together with the descriptions of said lots and lands, are <br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which <br />assessments are at the rate of $3.6701 per front foot and are not in <br />excess of the special benefits to said property. <br />Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or parcel of land <br />shall be payable in cash within thirty days from and after the passage of <br />this ordinanee, or at the option of the owners, in ten annual install- <br />ments with interest at the same rate as shall be borne by the bonds to be <br />issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments <br />shall be made to the Treasure of said City. Al1 assessments and <br />installrnents thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said thirty <br />days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to the County <br />Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him placed on the tax duplicate <br />and collected as other taxes are eollected. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : December /( 1 1951 <br />ATTEST: <br />E. M.
