BY: ORD INANCE I?0 . ?a 0 AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF GESSNER ROAD, FHOM LORAIN ROAD TO WALTER ROAD, BY THE CONSTRUC'I'ION OF A WATER MAIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PJORTH OLNISTED, OHIO : Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving Gessner Road, from Lorain ftoad to Walter Road, by the construction of a water main, amounts in the aggregate to $20,200.00, as reported to this Council by the City Engineer, notice of the fiiing of which assessment has been given, as required by law, be and the same is herebp adopted and confirmed and that there be and is herebp levied upon all of the lots and land bounding and abutting upon Gessner Road, from Lorain Road to Walter Road, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments, together with the descriptions of said lots and lands, are now on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which assessments are at the rate of $3.6701 per front foot and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property. Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or parcel of land shall be payable in cash within thirty days from and after the passage of this ordinanee, or at the option of the owners, in ten annual install- ments with interest at the same rate as shall be borne by the bonds to be issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall be made to the Treasure of said City. Al1 assessments and installrnents thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to the County Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him placed on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are eollected.
