Section 35. PLATS. Al1 applications for building permits shall be ac- companiEd by -, plat in duplicate, drawn to scala, showing the a.ctual dimension? of eaeh lot to be built upon, thQ size and location of each building to be erect upon ea,ch lot and such other information as may be necessary to enable the Admin- istrative Officer to determine that the proposed structure and use of land will conform to the provisions of this ordinance. A record of such applications and plats shall be kept in the office of the Administrative Officer. Section 36. BUILDING PERMIT -- Cr,ZTIFICATr, OF UCCUPANCY. (a) No exca- vation for foundation, nor the erection, construction or structural alteration of atiy structure or part of a structure, or occupanay, of streets or alleys with build- ing materials or temporary structures for construction purposes, sha11 be under- taken until a permit therefor shall have been issued by the Achni.nistrative OfFieer. No such pernu.t shall ba issued before application has been made far a Certificate of Occupancy. (b) Ne vacant land shall be occupied or used and no structure hareafter erected, structurally altered or changed i.n use shall be used or changed i.n use until a Certificate of Occupancy shall have been issued by the administrative Officer. (c) A Certificate of Occupancy, either for the whole or a part of a new building or for alte;rativri oi ari s:1E.1SL7.11g oui.ldii"ig, shall b e applied for coi.nci- dent with the application for a building permit and shall be issued within ten (10) days after the erection ar alteration of such building or part shall have been completed in con.formity with the provisions of this ordinance. (d) A Certificate of Occupancy for the use or occupancy of vaeant land, or for a change in the use of land, or for a change in the use of an existing build- ing, shall b:; ^ppli.:d for and issued before any such land shall b e occupied or used, or such land or building changed in use, and such certificate sha11 be is- sired witha.n tan (10) days ifter application has badri made, provided such proposed usa is in conformity with the provisions of this ordihance. (e) A like Certificate shall be issued for the purposo of maintaining, renewing, changing or extending a non-confirming us--, existing at the time of the passage of thi_s ordinance; and such Certificate slzall state that the use does not conforri with -the provisions of this ordinance. ror the purpose of complying with this requiroment, thc Adriinistrative Officer shall mail such Certificate to the occupants or owners of all such property within thirty (30) days a.fter the passage of this ordinance. (f) A record of all Certificates of Occupancy shall be kept on file in the office of the Administrative Officer and a copy shall be furnished on request to any person having a proprietary or tenancy ir.terest in the building or land affected. (g) p;o fee shall be eharged for an original Certificate of Occupancy as required herQin; but for each copy of an original cartificate there shall be a charge of one dollar which shall be remitted to the Villago Treasurcr by tho issuing officer. ?,:,.
