~ ~, <br />- - ; <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />' ORDINANCE NO. 94-148 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 3: All non-residents receiving emergency medical service and or ambulance <br />transportation shall pay a utilization charge therefore on a per person, per call basis determined as <br />follows: <br />A. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT $225.00 <br />B. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT WITH OXYGEN $240.00 <br />C. ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT $350.00 <br />D. ONE-WAY MILEAGE $ 3.50 Per Mile <br />SECTION 4: The senior member of the paramedic crew of the responding ambulance <br />shall determine to which hospital the person shall be transported. The aforementioned charges <br />listed are hereby established for emergency medical service and ambulance transportation to St. <br />John West Shore Hospital and Fairview Hospital. Ambulance transportation to Lakewood <br />Hospital, Southwest General Hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center and all others not specifically <br />listed within this ordinance must first be approved by the senior member of the paramedic crew <br />or Central Emergency Dispatch and such transportation shall be subject to an additional <br />utilization charge of $50.00 per person, per call and shall be in addition to those charges listed <br />within this section. <br />SECTION 5: The Director of Public Safety shall direct the Chief of the Division of Fire <br />to establish rules, regulations and procedures in accordance with the intent of this ordinance. The <br />Fire Chief shall submit such rules, regulations and procedures to the Director of Public Safety for <br />review, modification and approval. Upon approval, said rules, regulations and procedures are to <br />become a part of the official Fire Department Rules, Regulations and Orders Manual. <br />SECTION 6: DEFINITIONS <br />"Non-resident" <br />Is a person who resides outside the municipal boundaries of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />
