t <br />~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94-102 <br />By: Mayor Edward Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 167.04 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED ENTITLED "POWERS AND DUTIES"AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, it is his belief that the current <br />language in Section 167.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted dealing with <br />the powers and duties of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services is too <br />restrictive and requires expansion; and <br />WHEREAS, upon consideration and deliberation this Council agrees with the position <br />of the Mayor and wishes to expand the authority of the Mayor and/or Council to assign additional <br />responsibilities to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHID: <br />SECTION 1: That section 167.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, which now reads: <br />"167.04 POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Department of Personnel and Administrative Services shall have the following <br />responsibilities which may from time to time be added to or diminished by Council: <br />(a) Personnel. <br />(1) The Director shall develop a master employment application form <br />which shall be used in all departments containing vital information <br />necessary to administer the personnel records of the City. The Director <br />shall also maintain a file of such records, which file shall include for <br />each employee, evaluations, rewards, disciplinary actions, <br />commendations and any other correspondence or pertinent information <br />that may from time to time come to the attention of the Director with <br />respect to any specific employee. <br />
