CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 94-102 By: Mayor Edward Boyle AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 167.04 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "POWERS AND DUTIES"AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, it is his belief that the current language in Section 167.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted dealing with the powers and duties of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services is too restrictive and requires expansion; and WHEREAS, upon consideration and deliberation this Council agrees with the position of the Mayor and wishes to expand the authority of the Mayor and/or Council to assign additional responsibilities to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Services. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHID: SECTION 1: That section 167.04 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, which now reads: "167.04 POWERS AND DUTIES. The Department of Personnel and Administrative Services shall have the following responsibilities which may from time to time be added to or diminished by Council: (a) Personnel. (1) The Director shall develop a master employment application form which shall be used in all departments containing vital information necessary to administer the personnel records of the City. The Director shall also maintain a file of such records, which file shall include for each employee, evaluations, rewards, disciplinary actions, commendations and any other correspondence or pertinent information that may from time to time come to the attention of the Director with respect to any specific employee.
