At the time of death, disability retirement or retirement; from active service with the Employer and provided he has a minimum of five (5) years or more of continuous service with the Employer, an employee may elect to be paid, for one-half (2) the value of his accrued but unused sick leave credit, based upon the following: Retired after August 1, 1991: 400 hours, maximum payment Retired after August 1, 1992: 450 hours, maximum payment Retired after August 1, 1993: 500 hours, maximum payment Such payment shall be made only for those sick hours earned by the employee while employed by the employer. Sick pay shall be based on the employee's rate of pay at the time of conversion. Payment for sick leave, on this basis shall be considered to eliminate all sick leave credit accrued by the employee. Such payment shall be made only once to an employee. SECTION 11: Incentive Day All full-time salaried employees shall receive one (1), eight (8) hour day off with pay or may elect to be paid for one (1), eight (8) hour day, for each six (6) months of unused sick leave. SECTION 12: That Ordinance No 92-24 is specifically repealed and any other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict are hereby repealed. SECTION 13: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for the continuity of service of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. f~ PASSED: ~L~K~.. ~~ ~~~ r ATTEST ~~~ 2- ~ / 9 9'S-
