spar.:,,. .memo,,. <br />City of North Olmsted <br />Ordinance No. 94-~ <br />Page Two <br />education and knowledge in his field of specialty or undertaking. 1'he <br />compensation for the pay grades established shall be determined by Council. <br />SECTION 2: That Section 139.06, entitled "Recreation Center Director," of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted which presently reads: <br />(a) There is hereby created the position of the Recreation Center <br />Director within the Department of Public Safety, such person being under the <br />supervision of the Director of Public Safety. <br />(b) The duties of the Recreation Center Director shall be established <br />by the Parks and Recreation Commission, and they shall include, but not be <br />limited to, the following: <br />(1) Develop and coordinate a comprehensive recreation <br /> program for the Recreation Center; <br />(2) Develop the appropriate fee schedules for the use of the <br /> Recreation Center; <br />(3) Develop and submit to the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission a comprehensive budget with appropriate <br /> fees and expenses for the Recreation Center; <br />(4) Select, evaluate, retain and discharge necessary personnel <br /> to adequately staff the Recreation Center and to conduct <br /> the recreation program in accordance with the approved <br /> budget subject to the approval of the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission; <br />(5) Develop appropriate job descriptions for all persons <br /> working under his direction; <br />(6) Present to the public the recreation program in an <br /> organized effort to promote use of the Recreation Center <br /> facilities; <br />('~ Work with the City Finance Director to establish <br /> bookkeeping and inventory systems so that the <br /> Recreation Center financial records will be complete, <br /> accurate and meaningful; <br />(8) Prepare the annual report of the Recreation Center; <br />(9) Develop meaningful programs for the handicapped, both <br /> mental and physical; <br />
