~., ,.,~, <br />~.,. <br />City of North Olmsted <br />Ordinance No. 94-~2 <br />Page Three <br />(10) Constantly evaluate the success or failure of programs: <br />(11) Approve the payment of all budgeted expenditures of the <br />Recreation Center and submit them to the Finance <br />Department; <br />(12) Establish a safety program for all equipment and <br />activities; and <br />(13) Provide maintenance necessary to keep all facilities and <br />equipment in good and safe working order. <br />(c) The compensation to be paid to the Recreation Center Director <br />shall be determined by Council. <br />Shall be, and hereby is, amended, and as amended, shall be entitled "Parks and Recreation <br />Commissioner" and shall read as follows: <br />(a) There is hereby created the position of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commissioner within the Department of Public Safety, such person being <br />under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety. <br />(b) The duties of the Parks and Recreation Commissioner shall be <br />established by the Parks and Recreation Commission, and they shall include, <br />but not be limited to, the following: <br />(1) Develop and coordinate a comprehensive recreation <br />program for the Recreation Center; <br />(2) Develop the appropriate fee schedules for the use of the <br />Recreation Center; <br />(3) Develop and submit to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission a comprehensive budget with appropriate <br />fees and expenses for the Recreation Center; <br />(4) Select, evaluate, retain and discharge necessary personnel <br />to adequately staff the Recreation Center and to conduct <br />the recreation program in accordance with the approved <br />budget subject to the approval of the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission; <br />(5) Develop appropriate job descriptions for all persons <br />working under his direction; <br />
