"905.01 CONDOMINIUM COMPLEXES <br />(a) All driveways and service roads located on private property <br />within condominium complexes and which are either owned in common or are <br />prospectively to be owned in common by condominium owners shall be <br />constructed with a min;nnm, of seven inches in thickness or reinforced <br />concrete pavement meeting with the following specifications: Class C <br />concrete; pour with four-inch slump; use membrane sealer for curing; <br />two-inch leveling course and fully compacted sub-base; steel reinforcing <br />mesh with fifty-eight pound steel per 100 square feet; concrete strength to <br />exceed 4,000 p.s.i. after twenty-eight days. <br />(b) All driveways and service roads provided for in subsection (a) <br />hereof are to be constructed with inspection provided by the City <br />Engineering Division. Prior to beginning work, a paving deposit shall be <br />made with the City Engineering Division. The amount of this deposit shall <br />be five dollars ($5.00) per linear foot of driveway and service road to be <br />installed. The cost of inspection shall be deducted from this deposit and <br />the balance shall be refunded upon satisfactory completion of the paving. <br />905.02 APARTMENT HOUSES, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS, ETC. <br />(a) All driveways, service roads, parking areas and unloading areas <br />located on private property serving apartment houses, retail buildings, <br />office buildings, service buildings, industrial buildings, and all buildings <br />other than single or two family buildings shall be constructed according to <br />plans approved by the City Engineer. The grading shall be such that surface <br />drainage onto the public right-of-way from the development is minimized. <br />The pavement thickness and type shall be adequate for the traffic entering <br />the site with respect to load bearing capacity and maintenance such that the <br />condition of the pavement minimizes interference of vehicles entering the <br />site from the public street. <br />(b) A deposit shall be posted with the City by the applicant for the <br />review of the preliminary plan for all driveway roads and paved areas <br />provided for in subsection (a) hereof. Said deposit shall be made by the <br />applicant prior to any review by the Engineering Department, and the <br />required deposit shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per acre of <br />lot size for new buildings, and one hundred twenty five dollars ($125.00) <br />per acre of lot size for additions to buildings or for alterations in the <br />site layout of paved areas. Preliminary plan review activities shall <br />include review of preliminary site layout plans, grading plans, and traffic <br />engineering reports or studies. <br />The cost of review shall be calculated on the basis of sixty dollars <br />($60.00) for each hour spent by the City Engineer or Assistant City Engineer <br />in such review. <br />
