CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2010 - 13 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE- ESTABLISHING HEALTH CARE <br />BENEFITS FOR NON-BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council via Ordinance Nos. 2000-33 and 2005-19 <br />established health care benefits for non-bargaining unit employees of the City consistent <br />with the provisions of the City's then newly revised health care plans; and <br />WHEREAS, said benefits initially were established through the work, <br />cooperation and recommendations of the of the Employee Health Care Committee that <br />met regularly during the period September 2004 through February 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, from time to time it is necessary for the City to amend and re- <br />establish the health care benefits available to identified non-bargaining unit employees <br />and, specifically, to establish eligibility requirements for qualifying non-bargaining unit <br />employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the administration that non-bargaining <br />unit employees be eligible for vision and / or dental coverage even if they are not enrolled <br />in the medical plan, something previously not permitted; and <br />WHEREAS, certain non-bargaining unit positions have been eliminated, re-titled <br />or added to the list of positions eligible for health care benefits. Attached as Exhibit A <br />hereto is the revised list of eligible non-bargaining unit positions eligible for health care <br />benefits; and <br />WHEREAS, Council desires to modify the eligibility requirements and to more <br />clearly identify those non-bargaining unit positions that are eligible for health care <br />coverage. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OFNORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City shall provide either individual or family health care <br />insurance coverage, including medical, vision, and dental benefits, at the employee's <br />option, for each non-bargaining unit employee whose office or position is set forth in <br />Exhibit A attached. Such health care insurance coverage offered shall be in accordance <br />with the health care plan or plans previously established by the Employee Health Care <br />
