CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2010 - 37 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ESTABLISHING THE <br />ORGANIZATION OF THE DIVISION OF FIRE OF THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Administration and Council to amend and re-establish <br />the organization of the Fire Division of the Department of Public Safety. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Division of the Department of Public Safety <br />for the City of North Olmsted which presently reads as follows: <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Division of Fire of the City of North <br />Olmsted amended and re-established via Ordinance 2000-123, and approved on October 19, <br />2000, shall be and remain in effect until April 2, 2010. As of April 3, 2010, the Organizational <br />Chart for the Division of Fire of the City of North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Division of Fire and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Fire, who <br />shall be in charge of the entire Division of Fire. <br />B. The Chief of Fire shall also be in charge of all employees within the Division of <br />Fire, which shall consist of up to Seven (7) Lieutenants, up to Forty-four (44) <br />Firefighters, and up to Fifteen (15) Part Time Firefighters. <br />C. The Chief of Fire shall also be in charge of up to One (1) Secretary I. <br />SECTION 2: That the organization of the Division of Fire, except for the Secretary I, <br />shall consist of employees who are certified paramedics when hired. <br />SECTION 3: That the compensation for all members of the Division of Fire including <br />secretaries and part time firefighters shall, as the case may be, be established either by contract or <br />separate ordinance, which shall be approved by City Council. <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ IN ITS ENTIRETY AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Division of Fire of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Division of Fire and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Fire, who <br />shall be in charge of the entire Division of Fire. <br />
