CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2010 - 53 <br />BY: Council Member Orlowski <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 947.01 OF THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED CODIFIED ORDINANCES IN ORDER TO PROHIBIT <br />UNSAFE ACTIVITIES, REGULATE OVERWEIGHT TRUCKS, AND <br />TO PERMIT SUPERVISED CAMPFIRES IN NORTH OLMSTED <br />PARKS. <br />WHEREAS, in the course of reviewing regulated activities within City park <br />property, particularly in discussions allowing for leashed dog walking, the Recreation, <br />Public Buildings and Parks Committee noted several activities and restrictions that <br />warrant review; and <br />WHEREAS, Council accordingly desires to amend Section 947.01 of the <br />Codified Ordinances in order to prohibit the hitting of objects and overweight trucks and <br />further to permit exception to restriction against campfires in North Olmsted and Clague <br />City Parks outside of designated playground areas; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 947.01 of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances, which presently read as follow: <br />947.01 RULES AND REGULATIONS. <br />(a) Seed Re ulg ated• No vehicle or horse shall be driven or ridden in the City <br />park or recreation site at a speed greater than fifteen miles per hour. <br />(b) Selling Merchandise. No person, partnership, limited liability or <br />corporation operating for profit exclusive and apart from a nonprofit group or <br />organization shall sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise or services in the <br />City parks. This shall exclude any agreement the City enters into for the purpose of <br />selling food and non-alcoholic beverages in City parks and shall permit, through express <br />written permission of the City, through the Safety Director, nonprofit groups or <br />organizations to enter into concession agreements for the purpose of selling food and <br />non-alcoholic beverages in City parks for limited special events. <br />
