(1) Picnics. Picnics shall be permitted in designated areas. Large picnics, <br />fifty or more, should first obtain a permit prior to holding function. <br />(m) Camping No person shall be permitted to use any park or recreation <br />facilities for camping unless authorized to do so by the Director of Public Safety. <br />(n) Slingshot• Bow and Arrow; Air Gun. No person shall use a slingshot, bow <br />and arrow, or air gun within the public parks or recreation areas of the City, the use of <br />which is prohibited by Section 549.10 of the General Offenses Code. <br />(o) Golf. No person shall cause a golf ball to be propelled by hitting the same <br />with a golf club within the public parks or recreation areas of the City. <br />(p) Campfires and Cooking. No person shall keep or maintain or light a <br />campfire or cooking fire in an area other than that designated and established within the <br />park area. No person shall permit any fire to be left unattended and must completely <br />extinguish the fire before leaving the area. <br />(q) Travelling Public Shows and Carnivals. To the contrary notwithstanding <br />the adoption of Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation Code regulating travelling public <br />shows and carnivals, no such activity regulated thereby shall be permitted in any public <br />park within the City, with the exception that the annual carnival in North Olmsted Park <br />which has heretofore been known as "Homecoming" and was heretofore sponsored by the <br />Community Council will be permitted as per Chapter 701 of the Business Regulation <br />Code, but shall not exceed four days in length of operation. <br />(r) Bicycles Prohibited in Skate Park. No person shall operate, ride or <br />otherwise possess or use a bicycle at the North Olmsted Skate Park. <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />947.01 RULES AND REGULATIONS. <br />(a) Speed Re ulg ated. No vehicle or horse shall be driven or ridden in the City <br />park or recreation site at a speed greater than fifteen miles per hour. <br />(b) Selling Merchandise. No person, partnership, limited liability or <br />corporation operating for profit exclusive and apart from a nonprofit group or <br />organization shall sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise or services in the <br />City parks. This shall exclude any agreement the City enters into for the purpose of <br />selling food and non-alcoholic beverages in City parks and shall permit, through express <br />written permission of the City, through the Safety Director, nonprofit groups or <br />organizations to enter into concession agreements for the purpose of selling food and <br />non-alcoholic beverages in City parks for limited special events. <br />(c) Hours Open to Public. Each park and recreation site shall have signs <br />posted as to hours open and noting the hours the park or site will be closed. <br />3 <br />
