Affirmative Action Coordinator of the City and shall carry out all of the <br />policies established therein. <br />(d) Insurance. <br />(1) The Director shall maintain in his or her office the master copy of <br />all insurance policies maintained by the City, including but not <br />limited to, fire, casualty, hospitalization and life insurance, as well <br />as other coverage which may from time to time be obtained by the <br />City. <br />(2) The Director shall be responsible for administering the self- <br />insurance portion of all policies obtained by the City which <br />requires the City to pay all losses occurring under a certain <br />deductible amount. In that regard, he or she shall maintain a file <br />on all potential losses which are reported to the City and shall be <br />responsible for investigating those losses and reporting the same to <br />the insurance carriers of the City. He or she shall also cooperate <br />with the Law Department for purposes of settling claims against <br />the City that are within the deductible portion of the City's policy. <br />He or she shall, from time to time, appear in court if necessary to <br />aid the Law Department in defending the City against claims <br />which fall within the deductible portion of the City's insurance <br />policies. <br />(e) Risk Mana ement. The Director shall be responsible for administering <br />and overseeing risk management programs, policies and functions. The <br />Director shall periodically review and make recommendations to the <br />Mayor for improvement of City policies, procedures, and practices on <br />personnel matters. She or he shall communicate changes in City personnel <br />policies and procedures to department and division heads, and <br />periodically, as appropriate, further communicate with said department <br />and division heads to monitor compliance with said personnel policies and <br />procedures. <br />167.05 DIVISION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS; NETWORK <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />(a) There is hereby created a Division of Information Systems within the <br />Department of Human Resources. <br />(b) The Division of Information Systems shall be headed by, and there is <br />hereby created, the position of Network Administrator. The Network Administrator shall <br />be a full-time employee appointed by the Director of Human Resources. <br />(c) The Network Administrator shall have the following duties: <br />(1) To review the electronic data processing needs of each department <br />and division within the City, and the overall needs of the City itself <br />to have coordinated and unified processing, sharing and retention <br />of records and information; <br />(2) After first communicating with the department and division heads, <br />to assess and determine the electronic data processing requirements <br />for each department and division within the City; <br />(3) To approve, or disapprove, all electronic data processing purchase <br />
