A T !'!)LTnT C' A T ~C' A ]Vl] <br />~nAr~rrn~TVTTnAr nA~~T T~ ~nnnATnr, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, upon request of the VFW, Post 7647, the Mayor has recommended to this <br />Council that it permit, for the 2010 North Olmsted Homecoming event, the VFW, Post 7647 to <br />sell and allow consumption of alcohol at the VFW tent at the North Olmsted Park, from <br />Thursday, August 26, 2010 through Sunday, August 29, 2010.;-mil <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~~o ~„~,~;,. ~.,o„~+i. „~ ~.. ~„a . ,o~~ ro <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public <br />Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances, which currently reads as follows: <br />957.01 PERMITTED CIRCUMSTANCES. <br />The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted despite the <br />provisions of Section 529.09 prohibiting such sale and consumption, only under the following <br />specific circumstances. <br />(a) The prohibition of possession, use, sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages in <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned golf <br />courses, dance halls or party centers. <br />(b) The prohibition of possession, use or consumption of alcoholic beverages in <br />public buildings or on public grounds shall not apply to municipally owned senior <br />housing or any of the accessory buildings associated therewith, and located on the <br />grounds of the senior housing complex. <br />
