CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2006-93 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RANGE OF COMPENSATION RATES AND SALARY <br />RANGES FOR THE VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL, TO <br />TRANSFER YOUTH SERVICES EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION RATES AND SALARY RANGES <br />FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITYLIFE SERVICES TO THE NEWLY <br />ESTABLISHED DIVISION OF YOUTH SERVICES UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY; AND TO ESTABLISH THE RANGE OF COMPENSATIONRATESRND SALARY <br />RANGES FOR THE NEWLY CREATED PART-TIME ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF LAW; AND TO <br />OTHERWISE RE-STATE THE COMPENSATION RATE RANGES FOR SAID VARIOUS <br />ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL FOR THE YEARS 2004 THROUGH 2007, <br />AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2004-164, adopted by this Council on December 21, 2004, as thereafter <br />amended from time to time, established the compensation rate ranges and benefits for the City's various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 through 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish compensation rates and salary ranges for the <br />newly created Division of Youth Services and to move certain existing compensation rates and salary <br />ranges from the Department of Community Life Services to the Department of Public Safety under the <br />Division of Youth Services; and to establish the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for the <br />newly created part-time Assistant Director of Law; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly necessary to amend Sections 2 and 9 of Ordinance No. 2004-164, as most <br />recently amended, in order to establish said range of compensation rates and salary ranges for for the <br />newly established Division of Youth Services in the Department of Public Safety; and to establish the <br />range of compensation rates and salary range for the newly created part-time Assistant Director of Law; <br />WHEREAS, it is also important at this time to reorganize the grouping of individual sections and to <br />otherwise re-establish all of the existing range of compensation rates and salary ranges for the City's non- <br />bargaining unit administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 through 2007, as established by <br />Ordinance No. 2004-164, as amended from time to time; and <br />WHEREAS, Sections 2 and 9 of Ordinance No. 2004-164, as last amended, presently read as follows: <br />Section 2: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for employees of the Department of Law. <br />The salaries in this Section shall be determined by the Director of Law as appropriate. <br />FROM TO Pay <br />2004 2005 2006 2007 Type <br />A.
