Ordinance No. 2006-86 <br />his written objections within said ten (10) days by delivery to said Clerk, which objections <br />shall be entered in full on the journal of the Council. The Mayor's approval or disapproval <br />shall be addressed to the entire resolution or ordinance. <br />• ., ,. .. <br />~~r If the Mayor does not sign or veto an ordinance or resolution after its passage or <br />adoption within said ten (10) day period, it shall take effect in the same manner as if he had <br />signed it. When the Mayor has disapproved an ordinance or resolution , <br />as herein provided, the Council shall, not later than the next regular meeting, proceed to <br />reconsider it, and if upon reconsideration the ordinance or resolution be <br />approved by vote of two-thirds (2/3s) of the members of Council eligible to vote, it shall then <br />take effect as if it had received the signature of the Mayor. In all such cases the vote shall be <br />taken by yeas and nays and entered upon the Journal. <br />SECTION 2. If the foregoing proposal receives the affirmative vote of a majority of the <br />electors voting thereon, then the said amendment to Article IIII, Section 5(b) of the Charter shall <br />be effective upon the date of the certification of election results by the Cuyahoga County Board <br />of Elections. <br />SECTION 3. It is the desire of the Council that the ballot for said question shall be in <br />substantially the following form: <br />PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT <br />A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. <br />Shall Article III, Section 5(b) of the Charter of the City of North <br />Olmsted be amended so as to eliminate the Mayor's part or item veto <br />over any resolution or ordinance appropriating money? <br />Yes <br />No <br />SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to deliver a certified copy of <br />this Ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County no sooner than July 9, 2006, and no <br />later than September 7, 2006. <br />2 <br />
