<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 76

<br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
<br />LEASES, OR AMENDED LEASES, WITH DOLLAR LEASING
<br />CORP., FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPLYING NEW COPY
<br />MACHINES FOR THE RECREATION CENTER, THE CITY HALL
<br />MAILROOM, THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AND THE
<br />POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 2004-27, adopted by this Council on May 4,
<br />2004, the Director of Public Service advertised for bids for the lease of six (6) new copy
<br />machines at City Hall; and
<br />WHEREAS, as a result of said bidding and subsequent re-evaluation of the City's
<br />needs at that time, the Board of Control awarded a contract to ImagePro, Ltd., as the
<br />lowest and best bidder, to provide four (4) copy machines to City Hall, and a lease was
<br />thereafter entered into with ImagePro's lending agent, Dollar Leasing Corp, for said four
<br />(4) copy machines; and
<br />WHEREAS, subsequently, this Council adopted Resolution No. 2005-189, on
<br />January 3, 2006, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an additional lease, or an amended
<br />lease, with Dollar Leasing Corp. to provide for the lease of a fifth copy machine to
<br />replace a copy machine in the City Hall mailroom, scheduled to expire on December 31,
<br />2005, at said same price, and upon said same terms and conditions as the leases for the
<br />first four copiers leased to the City by Dollar Leasing Corp; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service that the
<br />City enter into further additional leases, or amended leases, with Dollar Leasing Corp. to
<br />provide new copiers at four locations in the City-the Recreation Center, the City Hall
<br />mailroom, Engineering Department, and the Police Department, all at the same prices,
<br />and upon the same terms and conditions, as was reflected in the bid of ImagePro, Ltd.,
<br />previously submitted to the City and the subject of the contract award by the Board of
<br />Control; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, based upon the
<br />recommendation of the Director of Public Service, to authorize the Mayor to enter into
<br />new leases, or amended leases, with Dollar Leasing Corp. to provide for the said
<br />additional four new copy machines at said prices, and upon said terms and conditions, as
<br />authorized in the lease awarded by the Board of Control;
