"Gas vent" means a flue for removing products of <br />combustion from gas heat appliances. <br />C. "Flue" means a passageway, vertical or nearly so for <br />conveying gaseous products of combustion to the outer air. <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />1305.05 SUPPLEMENTAL STANDARDS. <br />The following standards are supplemental to and shall be construed to constitute a <br />part of the One and Two Family Dwelling Code adopted under Section 1305.01: <br />(a) Posting Notice of Application. Immediately upon application for a <br />building permit signed by the owner or his authorized agent, which <br />application shall be filed with the Building Commissioner on forms <br />furnished by him, the Building Commissioner shall cause to have erected <br />upon the property for which a permit is applied for a sign which shall have <br />a notice thereon as follows: "A building permit applied for, plans and plat <br />showing the elevation and grading to be as established on file in the office <br />of the Building Commissioner, City Hall." Such sign shall remain on the <br />premises for which a permit has been applied for, for a period often days <br />after the date of the application for the permit. In all instances in which the <br />proposed construction increases the area or cubic content of a building, or <br />involves a building covered by a roof, or such application is for original <br />construction of a roofed structure designed for use as a shelter for persons, <br />animals, chattels or property of any kind, or a combination of such uses, or <br />if such construction effects drainage unto or over an adjoining property in <br />any way, the ten day waiting period referred to shall be mandatory. It shall <br />be mandatory that upon making an application for a permit required under <br />the Dwelling Code, other than for electrical work, plumbing work, heating <br />appliances and the installation of any other equipment in a structure <br />governed by such Code, that the plans and specifications shall be filed <br />with the Building Commissioner and remain available for inspection by <br />any person at the office of the Building Commissioner during the ten day <br />waiting period together with a plat of such property for which application <br />for a building permit is requested. Such plat shall show the proposed <br />elevation and grade to be established. <br />Upon the filing of an application for a permit and during the ten <br />day waiting period referred to, the Building Commissioner or his <br />authorized inspector shall make an inspection of the property to be <br />improved and determine the elevation and grade requested to be <br />established on the premises involved will not be injurious to adjoining <br />property. Any property owner or person who has reason to believe that the <br />proposed elevation and grade may be hazardous or injurious by virtue of a <br />proposed change in elevation or grade, or in the construction contemplated <br />by the application for a building permit, may file objections with the <br />Board of Building Code Appeals. The Board shall, upon receipt of such <br />protest, notify the applicant and the objector of the date for a hearing <br />before the Board on such objections which shall not be more than two <br />weeks after the filing of such written protest. <br />(b) Lots With 50 Feet or Less Frontage on an Existing Street (Amended) In <br />
