The Director <br />of Public Service s all not issue a permit or t e purpose described <br />in subsection (a) hereof until the applicant therefor has paid a tap-in <br />charge to be determined in accordance with the following: <br />If Permit Obtained: <br />From January 1, 1975 to December 31, 1977 $ 325.00 <br />From January 1, 1978 to December 31, 1979 420.00 <br />From January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1984 483.00 <br />From January 1, 1985 and thereafter 555.00 <br />Such incremental charges are designed to offset in part the interest <br />costs incurred by the City in issuing notes and bonds and the loan from <br />the Ohio Water Development Authority to pay the cost of constructing <br />improvements and extensions to the sewerage system which were not <br />recovered by special assessments. <br />Definition of Benefited Units <br />Single-Family Residence <br />Apartments: <br />Efficiency and one bedroom <br />Two bedroom <br />Three bedroom and over <br />Benefited Unit of One <br />1 <br />Number of apartment units x .5 <br />Number of apartment units x .75 <br />Number of apartment units x 1.0 <br />The number of benefited units to be assigned to nonresidential buildings, <br />structures or other facilities shall be determined by the Director of <br />Public Service in the following manner. The Director of Public Service <br />shall review the preliminary plans of the building, structure or other <br />facility to be served by the connection, together with other pertinent <br />information, and based upon accepted engineering practices determine <br />the estimated average daily quantity of sewage to be discharged from <br />such building, structure or other facility to the sanitary sewer system. <br />The quantity so determined shall then be divided by the estimated <br />average daily quantity of sewage discharged from a single-family residence <br />and the resulting quotient carried out to the nearest one-hundredth shall <br />be the number of benefited units assigned to such building, structure <br />or other facility. The tap-in charge will then be calculated by <br />multiplying the number of benefited units by the rate per unit applicable <br />at such time." <br />SECTION 2: That Subsection 913.117(b) adopted by this Council on <br />the 6tfi-day o July, 1971 be and the same is hereby repealed and any <br />other Ordinance or Resolution or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in <br />conflict herewith be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to establish revised standards which conform with <br />the present day economic conditions, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~a1p~~~~ <br />ATTEST : ~~,~,`~ ,~ ~i~C~ <br />Nora T.
