Parking areas shall be thoroughly illum- <br />inated whenever determined necessary by the Mayor <br />to protect the public safety. Such illumination <br />shall be so designed and located that light sources <br />are shielded from adjoining residential districts and <br />streets, and shall not he o.f_ excessive brightness or <br />cause a glare to pedestrians or drivers, and limited <br />to not more than heights of twelve (:12) feet. <br />(D} Fire access. No obstruction or parking shall be per- <br />mitted within a band of .f.i.fteen (15) feet around a <br />building, the outer limits of whic:z should be prefer- <br />ably at a distance of thirty (30) feet to accommodate <br />hook and ladder apparatus. Driveways and other temp- <br />orary uses shall be permitted in this area. <br />(E) Standpipes. [~Iet standpipes having a diameter of six (6) <br />inches shall be provided in the building o.f these <br />classes. <br />(F) Underg3:o~znd utilities.
