~- ~ <br />(H) Recreation space for CJ_ass A Hi-Rise other than <br />'Hi-Rises developed, exclusively for the elderly, <br />as defined in the Federal Housing and Communi~ <br />Develox~ment .Act of 1974. <br />1. A space shall be set aside for active or passive <br />recreation according to the nature of the <br />development. This is space on the lot which is <br />separate .from the landscaped setting of the <br />building. Plans for the use of this space shall <br />be approved by the Planning Commission. <br />2. A program for the construction of such recrear <br />tion areas shall be approved as a part of the <br />original development and such program shall be <br />followed concurrent with construction of the <br />building. <br />(I) Required Ancillary Facilities for_ Elderly Hi-Rise. <br />Each Class A Hi-Rise development exclusively for <br />the elderly, as defined in the Federal Housing <br />and Community ?development Act of 1974, shall <br />contain the following ancillary facilities, ~ahich <br />facilities shall be incidental to the main use, <br />shall be planned and developed integrally with the <br />main building and shall have no injurious effect on <br />adjoining uses amulti-purpose senior center, <br />craft and meeting rooms;'lounge area, areas <br />for passive and active recreation and any and <br />all other amenities required in buildings <br />qualifying for housing assistance for the <br />elderly in new construction designed for the <br />elderly, as set forth in the requlations pro- <br />mulgated by the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development. <br />-8- <br /> <br />
