Hours of jury duty or witness duty which the <br />employee did not work but for which he received <br />pay pursuant to Paragraph 59 of this Memorandum. <br />There shall be no pyramiding of overtime. <br />30. If a time clock is to be used for a depaztment, all <br />hourly employees shall be required to clock in and clock out at <br />the beginning and end of each shift. Any employee clocking <br />in late will be docked to the nearest tenth of an hour. Any <br />employee working overtime with the approval of supervision shall <br />be paid overtime to the next tenth of an hour. <br />DISTRIBUTION OF OVERTIME <br />31. The City shall be the sole judge of the necessity of <br />overtime. All overtime. shall be voluntary and an employee shall <br />have the right to refuse an overtime assignment except for emer- <br />gencies. An "emergency" is defined as any impairment to City <br />services or operations which cannot be delayed until the beginning <br />of the next regular work day. In non-emergency situations, the <br />City may require the least senior qualified employees in the <br />cl~sification, who are available, to perform the overtime work. <br />(a) Employees in the Service Department who are assigned <br />to .solid waste collection will work as they have in the past, which <br />means completing their day's assignment in all ro~xte pickups and un- <br />loading.
