CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0 . 7 7 - //o ~' BY: N ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL-TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, AND ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF SECRETARY TO THE CLERK OF COUNCIL AND THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THEREFOR, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 76-115 ENACTED SEPTEMBER 7, 1976, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of tie City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full-time position and retroactive to January 1, 1977 the compensation to be paid to said Clerk of Council shall be as follows: $6,000.00 to $11,150.00 Annually to be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, which salary shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. SECTION 2: That the salary for the Clerk of Council shall be for t e services performed by said Clerk, under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to time be determined to be necessary to be performed and which shall be determined by Council, including duties required by Charter, by the Ohio Revised Code, the Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted as well as the Rules of Council. SECTION 3: That there is hereby established the position of Secretary to the Clerk of Council, which position shall be a full- time position. The compensation for the position of Secretary to the Clerk of Council shall be as follows: $5,500.00 to $7.200.00 Annually $ 2.64 to $3.46 per hour to be established by the Council of the City of North. Olmsted, which salary shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. SECTION 4: That the Clerk of Council and the Secretary to the Clerk of Council shall receive as a longevity increment, the sum of Twenty - Five Dollars ($25.00) for each and every year said Clerk and Secretary have been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. This sum is to be paid in a lump sum on the anniversary date of employment. SECTION 5: That the Full-time Clerk of Council and Secretary to the Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work by Council in emergencies: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day. the employee's birthday, and floating holiday. SECTION 6: (A) That the full-time Clerk of Council shall be entit e to an annual vacation to coincide with Council's vacation. (B) That the Secretary to the Clerk of Council shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with. the following schedule:
