~,- t <br />~, <br />BY: Mr. Boehmer <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 77 - 83 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY WELFARE DEPARTMENT FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF UTILIZING LABORERS <br />INVOLVED IN THE COUNTY RELIEF PROGRAM <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Welfare Department is desirous <br />of providing meaningful work programs for laborers involved in the <br />County Relief Program, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted does have work available <br />which is of a meaningful nature wherein laborers can be employed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into an Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Welfare <br />Department with respect to providing work for laborers under the <br />County Relief Program, a copy of which said agreement is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof as though fully rewritten herein and <br />marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the public peace, <br />health and safety and for the further reason that with the onslaught <br />of warmer weather, it is necessary to immediately implement this <br />program so that meaningful work programs may be established, and <br />further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~_ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
