<br />.,. .W. <br />~ r <br />CITY OF NORTH <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />Page 4 <br />OLMSTED <br />7 7 - .3"O <br /> <br />Any member of the department who qualifies for benefits <br />under paragraph I hereof shall be required to pay over to the City <br />any amounts received from the Bureau of Workman's Compensation as <br />supplemental wages. Further, if at any time the City determines on <br />the basis of medical evidence that an employee is permanently disabled <br />and will no longer be able to carry on his duties then the City may <br />terminate payments and insist that the employee go on a pension <br />program. Any employee who qualifies for the benefits under this <br />paragraph shall not have his accumulated sick time reduced because <br />of a qualified accident injury which occurred while in the line of_ <br />duty. <br />SECTION 3: That the employees of the Fire Department of the <br />City of NortTi-Amsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day for <br />per diem expenses while in attendance at the Firemen's Training School <br />established by the State of Ohio at a place designated by the Fire <br />Chief, which school is for a five (5) week period with twenty-five <br />(25) days of class attendance required. <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk. of Council be, and she is hereby <br />directed to .orward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance <br />in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation, as <br />hereinabove set forth, and a copy of_ this Ordinance shall be forwarded <br />to the Fire Chief. <br />SECTION 5: That Ordinance No. 76-182 adopted December 21, <br />1976, is here y repealed and any other Ordinances or Resolutions <br />or parts of Ordinances or parts o_f_ Resolutions inconsistent herewith <br />are hereby repealed with the effective date o.f this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of_ the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary for the continuity of service of_ the safety <br />forces of the City, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED: G.I~C~ /9 /47y <br />ATTEST: ~ <br />G~:~-mot/ ~ ~ . <br />Nora it er o ouncil <br />APPROVED: 'y/~~~77 <br />R LP H , Y <br /> <br />J <br />w m re en o_. ouncll <br />fL...~cr~ ~ 1/,fij <br />
