W.. <br />. ~ __ <br />CITY OF NORTH <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />OLMSTED <br />77- ~~ <br />By : G%~ ___,_ <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE <br />PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND MAINTENANCE <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS <br />LINE, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 76-143 ENACTED <br />ON OCTOBER 5, 1976, AND DECLARING AN EP4ERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee and the Finance <br />Committee have recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of <br />the administrative and maintenance employees of the North <br />Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and <br />WHEREAS, Council is desirous of making an adjustment in <br />the compensation for administrative and maintenance employees <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the compensation to be paid to the non- <br />bus driving personnel of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />shall be as follows: <br />a. Effective February 1, 1977: <br />1. Administrative personnel <br />General Manager <br />Supervisor of Operations <br />Supervisor of .Maintenance <br />Asst Supervisor of !!4aint. <br />Administrative Assistant <br />Secretary <br />Zone Supervisor <br />$22,106 to $24,297 <br />18,964 to 22,217 <br />20,249 to 23,517 <br />10,500 to 17,000 <br />15,028 to 15,730 <br />8,099 to 9,126 <br />10,500 to 17,108 <br />2. Maintenance Employees <br />Mechanic/Equipment Repairman <br />Mechanic Leader <br />Mechanic Apprentice <br />Serviceman <br />Extra Labor <br />$6.90/hr. to start <br />7.04/hr. after one year <br />7.095/hr. after two years <br />7.23/hr. after three years <br />7.48/hr to start <br />7.58/hr. after one year <br />6.485/hr. to start <br />6.665/hr. after one year <br />6.78/hr. after two years <br />6.356/hr. to start <br />6.51/hr after one year <br />6.655/hr. after two years <br />2.20 to 4.22 per hour <br />which salaries will be payable by the Director of Finance bi- <br />weekly. <br />SECTION 2: The normal work week for regular full time <br />hourly employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall <br />be forty hours. Said work week shall commence at 12:O1 A_M <br />Sunday through 12:00 midnight Saturday. It is recognized that <br />the bus line shall be maintained on a schedule compatible with <br />efficient and practical transit service seven days a week. <br />Therefore it is further recognized that the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line retains the right to manage and direct the <br />work force as well as the right to determine the manner and <br />method of assigning work. It is further recognized that some <br />employees may be assigned to work schedules to accommodate 7 <br />day per week service which may of necessity involve overtime <br />work. Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half of <br />
