.. ,. . .?...?. .. . _ _ ,. ?. <br />. ?.. _ ? <br />-3- .,? <br />pal corporation shall be determined by the judgment of the rlayor, Direc- <br />tor of Public Safety, Chief of Police or other party designated by them, <br />who shall retain in said municipal corporation suFficient equipment and <br />personnel consistent witti the proper protection of said responding muni- <br />cipal corporations. <br />3. When said authorized person of any of the contracting muni- <br />cipal corporations calls for assistance, he shall ?.ate the specific emer- <br />gency or activity requiring participation by any of the parties hereto <br />stated. Wtien such assistance is requested, the authorized person re- <br />questing such assistance shall give eaplicit directions as to the location <br />where such assistance is required, and shall, whenever possible, dispatch <br />someone to a specific meeting place to escort the persons responding to <br />such call to their destination. <br />4. No charge shall be made for the aforesaid service by either <br />the parties hereto, and each of said parties shall assume the expense of <br />any loss or damage to its own equipment or apparatus which may be incur- <br />red while in the other party's municipal boundaries, or while responding <br />to a call in accordance with or under the tenns of this agreement, <br />5. All personnel of the responding party, while responding to <br />a call of a calling party, shall be acting within the scope of their em- <br />ployment by the responding party, while en route to, en route from, and <br />while acting within the territory of the calling municipality. <br />6. On any occasion or at any place to which additional assist- <br />ance is called under and pursuant to the terms of this agreement, the <br />senior officer or officer in charge of the Police Department of the call- <br />ing.municipal corporation present shall have full charge and authority <br />over such assisting equipment and personnel of the responding municipal <br />corporation.. - <br />7. The members of the Police Department acting outside the <br />li?nits of ttie municipal corporation in which they are employed, may parti- <br />cipate in atry pension ox indemnity fund establislied.by their employer to <br />the sar.?e extent as while acting within the employing municipal corporation, <br />and are entitled to all the rights and benefits of Sections 4123.01 to
