? <br />ow <br />or <br />An employee who does not return the <br />equipment will be charged for the replace- <br />ment cost, except in cases <br />1, in which the equipment was <br />destroyed by accidental conditions <br />beyond the employee's control in <br />the work area, or <br />2. if the equipment has been stolen <br />and the City has failed to supply <br />the employee with a place to lock <br />up his equipment. <br />(b) A safety committee consisting of the Service <br />Director and his designee and two (2) safety <br />representatives appointed by the Local Union <br />shall confer at regular monthly intervals, if <br />necessary, for the purpose of attempting to <br />maintain safe working conditions for employees <br />in the bargaining unit. Additional meetings <br />may be held if required by unusual circumstances. <br />The Safety Committee shall have the authority <br />to deal with safety procedures, safety and <br />sanitation problems, and shall decide upon the <br />protective equipment to be used under Paragraph <br />(a). <br />-35- <br />? <br />w?
