JOB TITLE: LABORER <br />Va Nature of Work: This is manual labor in the perform- <br />ance of semi-skilled and limited <br />o"' skilled work of a physically demanding nature. <br />? <br />Work involves performing manual work of a semi-skilled nature <br />?- which requires no special previous training or experience. <br />Although the work is usually performed under the immediate <br />"""? directions of an employee of higher rank and instructions are <br />;,,M received at the beginning of each new job, constant supervision <br />is not always available for routine and repetitive tasks which <br />? can be carried on without difficulty once they are learned. <br />Automotive equipment may be operated. <br />?. <br />,r,,,,, Examples of Work : <br />Participates in the work of crews engaged in the operation and <br />maintenance of the wastewater plant and related facilities; for <br />example, repairs roofs, interior and exterior of plant buildings; <br />paints buildings, trim, walls, and ceilings; replaces windows, <br />doors, and locks; repairs and maintains plant building and grounds. <br />As required, keeps records of all work performed; reports need <br />for materials and equipment on construction and repair jobs. <br />? <br />Assists operators with general duties including hosing of tanks, <br />equipment, walks, drives, etc. Assists in cleaning duties as <br />required by the nature of the operation of a wastewater treatment <br />p 1 an t . <br />Assists the maintenance division when required with their <br />assigned work. <br />? Duty station with any of the three divisions of the Wastewater <br />? Department; namely, operational, maintenance, or system will be <br />assigned by the Superintendent as required. <br />? <br />As required and assigned, will operate automotive equipment; <br />such as, pick-up trucks, automobiles, dump trucks, dempsey <br />dumpster, etc. <br />Work will be characterized by the large variety of general duties <br />of a semi-skilled nature which must be done in the Wastewater <br />Division. <br />V& Subject to 24 hour call during emergency situations. <br />Performs general custodial duties when assigned. <br />Work can be characterized by assignment to rotating shifts and <br />working under the operator in charge of the assigned shift. <br />?M <br />EXHIBIT B-10 <br />„w -60-
