Desirable Knowledge, Abilities and Skills ow Some knowledge of the specific operations and service requirements of the major items of pump and treatment plant. Some knowledge of the fundamental processes involved in the pu.mping, treatment, and disposal of wastewater. .. Ability to inspect operating mechanical and electrical equipment; to detect minor flaws and defects in its operation; and to ? effect appropriate remedial measures when necessary. ? Ability to read meters and charts accurately and to maintain routine records of shift operations. ? Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to make mathematical computations with speed and accuracy. ? Ability to perform moderately heavy manual work. Ability and willingness to use a variety of special safety ? devices; such as, inhalators, safety belts, special gloves, and related safety equipment. +rr Mechanical aptitude and good general intelligence. .?. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public. ? Desirable Experience and Training ?
