"~+ t <br />CITY OF NORTH OLp!~STED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - ~~.Z- <br />BY: <br />i~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THE YEAR OF <br />1977 AND THEREAFTER, SETTING FORTH THE <br />COMPLEDgENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLA.ZSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that <br />it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of the <br />members of the Fire Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart of the Fire Department <br />of the i~`ty o~~iorth Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 141.02, "Composition <br />and Classification" of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances) shall <br />read as follows: <br />A. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and <br />the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of <br />the Chief of Fire who shall be in charge of the entire Fire Department. <br />B. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of the General Duty <br />Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: One (1) Assistant Fire Chief - <br />(Fire Prevention Bureau); Three (3) Captains; Seven (7) Lieutenants; <br />and Twenty-four (24) to Thirty (30) Firemen. <br />C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified <br />by the Director of Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That effective January 1, 1977 and thereafter, the <br />base sa arses o~ the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed <br />and determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief <br />Assistant Fire Chief <br />(Fire Prevention Bureau) <br />Captains <br />Fire Lieutenants <br />Firemen for First Year <br />Firemen Second Year <br />Firemen after Second Year <br />Full-time Firemen working <br />for the City of North Olmsted <br />during off-duty hours <br />$22,338.00 Annually <br />20,307.00 Annually <br />18,461.00 Annually <br />16,783.00 Annually <br />12,775.00 Annually <br />13,957.00 Annually <br />15,257.00 Annually <br />$3.81 per hour to $5.56 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br /> <br />
