<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 -~~'", <br />Page 3. <br />H. That effective July 22, 1976, and thereafter, with the <br />exception of secretaries, clerical help and civilian dispatchers, <br />the City of North Olmsted shall pay the full amount for the <br />hospitalization insurance costs of all full-time employees of_ the <br />North Olmsted Police Department with either Blue Cross and Medical <br />Mutual Hospitalization Plan or the Kaiser Community Health Foundation <br />Plan. Nothing contained herein shall be construed so as to afford <br />said coverage to either Auxiliary Police or School Guards. <br />I. That all full-time employees of the North Olmsted Police <br />Department, excluding secretarial and clerical help, shall be entitled <br />to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work <br />on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief. of Police. <br />In the event the employee either works or was not scheduled to work <br />for reasons other than holiday leave on one of the following holidays <br />then the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace <br />the holiday he worked, or was not required to work for reasons <br />other than holiday leave. The scheduled holidays are as follows: <br />New Year's Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; <br />Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; Veteran's Day; the <br />employee's birthday; and the employee's personal use day, this provision <br />does not apply to Auxiliary Police or School Guards. <br />J. That all full-time employees of the Police Department shall <br />be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following <br />schedule: <br />For the Year of 1976 <br />Two weeks vacation after one year full-time service. <br />Three weeks vacation after seven years full-time service. <br />Four weeks vacation after fifteen years full-time service. <br />Five weeks vacation after twenty years full-time service. <br />For the Year of 19'77 <br />1 to 5 years inclusive of full-time service - two weeks <br />6 to 11 years inclusive o_f full-time service - three weeks <br />12 to 19 years inclusive o_f_ full-time service - four weeks <br />20 years and over of full time service - five weeks <br />For the purpose of a vacation week, a week shall be defined as seven <br />consecutive days of f_. A11 vacation time shall be paid at the <br />regular salary rate. If due to scheduling, vacations cannot be <br />taken in the year earned and are accumulated and taken in the next <br />subsequent year, the rate of vacation pay shall be the rate of <br />pay during the year taken provided the same is first approved by <br />the Safety Director. <br />K. That for the purposes of this Ordinance a work day is <br />defined as a continuous eight (8) hour period and a work week is <br />defined as forty (40) hours. <br />L. That effective January 1, 1977, all full-time employees <br />with the exception of the Chief, secretaries, clerical help and <br />civilian dispatchers, the City of North Olmsted shall pay employees <br />time and a half (1 1/2) their regular rate of pay for all hours <br />required to be worked in excess of the work day or week as defined <br />in paragraph K hereof. However, no employee shall be paid at an <br />overtime rate for time spent while pursuing educational endeavors, <br />mandatory schooling required by law or internal programs instituted <br />by the Chief of Police relating to changes in the Revised Code or the <br />... ., ,~ <br />
