„~ .. . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 - ~.Z. <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED AND ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES <br />OF THE MEMBERS OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT, AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 76-108, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in Article V <br />Section 2 provides for the organization of the Department of Law <br />to be headed by the Director of Law, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has or is in the process of reviewing all <br />departments with respect to salaries, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to establish an organizational <br />chart for the Department of Law: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Law Department of the City of North Olmsted <br />as prov~in Article V, Section 2 of the Charter of the City of <br />North Olmsted is to be headed by the Director of Law, and the <br />employees thereof shall consist of two assistant Directors of Law, <br />one being a Civil Assistant, and the other service as Police Prosecutor. <br />SECTION 2: That the salaries to be paid to the various employees <br />of t e epartment of Law shall be as follows: <br />A. Director of Law $15,600.00 annually, effective January 1, <br />1976 through December 31, 1976 <br />$16,700.00 annually, effective January 1, <br />1977 through December 31, 1977 <br />B. Assistant Director of Law (Civil) <br />$4,741.00 annually effective upon the passage hereof, retroactive <br />to March 1, 1976. <br />C. Assistant Director of Law (Prosecutor) <br />$5,136.00 annually, retroactive to March 1, 1976. <br />In addition, the Prosecutor shall receive additional compensation <br />in the amount of $20.00 for each Not Guilty plea he attends to on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Compensation to be paid to the Prosecutor as outlined in Section 1 <br />(C) hereof shall become effective on the passage hereof. <br />D. Law Clerk - Part Time <br />$3.25 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the <br />academic school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. <br />The Law Clerk shall be a student participating in the Federal <br />Work Study Program for graduate professional students. It is <br />understood that the City will pay the entire hourly rate and <br />will be reimbursed at a rate of 750. <br /> <br />
