BY: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE LAW DEPARTMENT, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 76-108, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in Article V Section 2 provides for the organization of the Department of Law to be headed by the Director of Law, and WHEREAS, this Council has or is in the process of reviewing all departments with respect to salaries, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to establish an organizational chart for the Department of Law: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Law Department of the City of North Olmsted as prov~in Article V, Section 2 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted is to be headed by the Director of Law, and the employees thereof shall consist of two assistant Directors of Law, one being a Civil Assistant, and the other service as Police Prosecutor. SECTION 2: That the salaries to be paid to the various employees of t e epartment of Law shall be as follows: A. Director of Law $15,600.00 annually, effective January 1, 1976 through December 31, 1976 $16,700.00 annually, effective January 1, 1977 through December 31, 1977 B. Assistant Director of Law (Civil) $4,741.00 annually effective upon the passage hereof, retroactive to March 1, 1976. C. Assistant Director of Law (Prosecutor) $5,136.00 annually, retroactive to March 1, 1976. In addition, the Prosecutor shall receive additional compensation in the amount of $20.00 for each Not Guilty plea he attends to on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. Compensation to be paid to the Prosecutor as outlined in Section 1 (C) hereof shall become effective on the passage hereof. D. Law Clerk - Part Time $3.25 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. The Law Clerk shall be a student participating in the Federal Work Study Program for graduate professional students. It is understood that the City will pay the entire hourly rate and will be reimbursed at a rate of 750.
