,~+~° . ~~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 76-142 Page Z SECTION 2: a. The normal work week for regular full time hourly employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be 40 hours. Said work week shall commence at 12:01 am. Sunday through 12:00 midnight Saturday. It is recognized that the bus line shall be maintained on a schedule compatible with efficient and practical transit service 7 days a week. Therefore, it is further recognized that the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line retains the right to manage and direct the work force as well as the right to determine the manner and method of assigning work. Tt is further recognized that some employees may be assigned to work schedules to accommodate 7 day per week service which may of necessity involve overtime work. Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half_ of the straight time rate for all hours in excess of 8 hours per day, and, also, time and one-half of their straight time rate for all hours worked. in excess of 40 hours in any one work week... When an employee is assigned work on his scheduled day off, it is understood that time will be paid at a time and one half rate with the exception of charter work. However, under no circumstances shall there be a pyramiding of overtime. The time worked in Charter Service will be paid at a straight time rate and will not be used in computing overtime pay. It should also be noted that the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be the sole judge of the necessity of over time and the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall determine the manner and method of assigning and offering all over time work which is consistent with efficient transit practices. b. There is hereby established a work training program within the Municipal Bus Line. Said training period shall not exceed thirty days and any driver who is included within said training program shall be paid at the rate of $18.40 per day.. SECTION 3: That there is hereby established longevity benefits for all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line which shall be as follows: a. Effective August 1, 1976 through and including October 2, 1976, all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line having completed 5 years of full time continuous services as employees of said bus line or having been transferred from some other department by administrative appointment shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary until they have completed their tenth year of continuous full time service. After completing their tenth year and prior to completion o_f their fifteenth year of_ continuous full time service, .they shall be paid 40 of their base annual salary. After completion of their fifteenth year of continuous service and prior to completion of their twentieth year of_ continuous service, they shall be paid 50 of their base annual salary. After they shall be paid 6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department of the City of North Olmsted..
