The normal work week for regular full time hourly employees <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be 40 hours. Said <br />work week shall commence at 12:01 am. Sunday through 12:00 midnight <br />Saturday. It is recognized that the bus line shall be maintained <br />on a schedule compatible with efficient and practical transit <br />service 7 days a week. Therefore, it is further recognized that <br />the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line retains the right to manage <br />and direct the work force as well as the right to determine the <br />manner and method of assigning work. Tt is further recognized that <br />some employees may be assigned to work schedules to accommodate <br />7 day per week service which may of necessity involve overtime work. <br />Hourly employees will be paid at time and one-half_ of the straight <br />time rate for all hours in excess of 8 hours per day, and, also, time <br />and one-half of their straight time rate for all hours worked. in <br />excess of 40 hours in any one work week... When an employee is assigned <br />work on his scheduled day off, it is understood that time will be paid <br />at a time and one half rate with the exception of charter work. However, <br />under no circumstances shall there be a pyramiding of overtime. The <br />time worked in Charter Service will be paid at a straight time rate <br />and will not be used in computing overtime pay. It should also be <br />noted that the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be the sole <br />judge of the necessity of over time and the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line shall determine the manner and method of assigning and <br />offering all over time work which is consistent with efficient <br />transit practices. <br />b. There is hereby established a work training program within <br />the Municipal Bus Line. Said training period shall not exceed <br />thirty days and any driver who is included within said training <br />program shall be paid at the rate of $18.40 per day.. <br />SECTION 3: That there is hereby established longevity benefits <br />for all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />which shall be as follows: <br />a. Effective August 1, 1976 through and including October 2, <br />1976, all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line having completed 5 years of full time continuous services as <br />employees of said bus line or having been transferred from some other <br />department by administrative appointment shall be paid an additional <br />3% of their base annual salary until they have completed their tenth <br />year of continuous full time service. After completing their tenth <br />year and prior to completion o_f their fifteenth year of_ continuous <br />full time service, .they shall be paid 40 of their base annual salary. <br />After completion of their fifteenth year of continuous service and <br />prior to completion of their twentieth year of_ continuous service, <br />they shall be paid 50 of their base annual salary. After they shall <br />be paid 6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be <br />longevity increments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted.. <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longevity increments as hereinabove set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part time service, but such limitation is only for the <br />purpose of computing longevity increments a1d the exclusion for part <br />time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits <br />which may be due them for part time service as employees of the North <br />Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />+rw~ww. ,~py.....n- ~»+ C~.!~yY..~S:w ,.:....-4f #ryYJHfi%n4_. ... ., .. <br />
