e .t <br />• ~ <br />a `r" ~M • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 76 -/.L~' <br />Page 4. <br />Any member of the department who qualifies for benefits under <br />paragraph I hereof shall be required to pay over to the City any <br />amounts received from the Bureau of Workman's Compensation as <br />supplemental wages. Further, if at any time the City determines on <br />the basis of medical evidence that an employee is permanently disabled <br />and will no longer be able to carry on his duties then the City may <br />terminate payments and insist that the employee go on a pension <br />program. Any employee who qualifies for. the benefits under this <br />paragraph shall not have his accumulated sick time reduced because <br />of a qualified accidental injury which occurred while in the line of <br />duty. <br />SECTION 3: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts <br />of or finances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the <br />provisions of this Ordinance and especially Ordinance No. 75-103 enacted <br />June 4, 1975, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 4: That the employees of the Fire Department of the <br />City o Nort Amsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day for <br />per diem expenses while in attendance at the Firemen's Training School <br />established by the State of Ohio at a place designated by the Fire <br />Chief, which school is for a four (4) week period with twenty (20) <br />days of class attendance required. <br />SECTION S: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby <br />directe~c. to sward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance <br />in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation, as <br />hereinabove set forth, and a copy of this Ordinance shall be forwarded <br />to the Fire Chief. <br />SECTION 6: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary for the continuity of service of the safety <br />forces of the City, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
