r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 76-107 <br />r:~.,~,~,--- <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE AND PROPERTIES <br />SECTION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION OF THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, SETTING FORTH THE PERSONNEL NEEDED <br />AND ESTABLISHING THE REMUNERATION FOR CERTAIN <br />EMPLOYEES OF SAID SECTION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />75-164, ENACTED ON JUNE 17, 1975, AND DECLARING <br />AN EIRERGENCY, AS AMENDED <br />WHEREAS, Council has adopted Organizational Charts for all <br />employees, both salaried and hourly, of the City of North Olmsted; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council has adopted the Organizational Chart in <br />order to establish future personnel needs, as the needs of the <br />City of North Olmsted increase due to population expansion: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That there is hereby created a Public Works Divi- <br />sion which shall be supervised by one (1) Public Works Commissioner <br />who shall report and be answerable directly to the Director of <br />Public Service. The duties of the Public Works Commissioner <br />shall be as determined by the Director of Public Service. He <br />shall supervise one (1) secretary and all other personnel as set <br />forth hereinafter. <br />SECTION 2: That the Public Works Commissioner shall be res- <br />ponsible for all operations in the Public Works Division and all <br />superintendents shall report directly to the Public Works <br />Commissioner. <br />SECTION 3: That the Superintendents of the Public Service <br />and Properties Section shall be in charge of the Service Depart- <br />ment, the Vehicle Maintenance Department and the Building Main- <br />tenance Department. He shall serve under and report directly to <br />the Public Works Commissioner and the Service Director. <br />SECTION 4: The complement of the Public Service and Properties <br />Section shall include the Service Department, the Vehicle Main- <br />tenance Department and the Building Maintenance Department and <br />shall be as follows: <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION <br />I. Public Works Commissioner <br />A. Secretary to the Public Works Commissioner - one (1) <br />B. Superintendent of Public Service and Properties Sec- <br />tion - one (1) <br />1. Service Department <br />a. Four (4) Service Foremen <br />(1) Twenty (20) Class A Laborers <br />(2) Twenty-six (26) Laborers classified as B <br />and C <br />(3) One (1) Clerk-Typist <br />(4) Summer and part-time help as needed <br />
