<br />B. Adequate drainage is provided so as to reduce exposure to <br />flood hazards. <br />C. Adequate drainage is provided so as not to increase the <br />exposure to adjacent lands to flood hazards. <br />D. All public utilities and '-facilities are located and con- <br />structed so as to minimize flood damage, such utilities <br />and facilities to include sewer, gas, electrical and <br />water systems. <br />Section 4: That the City Engineer shall require new or replace- <br />ment water supply systems and/or sanitary sewage systems to be designed <br />to minimize or eliminate infiltration of flood waters into the systems and <br />discharges from the systems into flood waters, and require community-owned <br />on-site waste disposal systems to be located so as to avoid impairment of them <br />or contamination from them during flooding. <br />Section S: That Ordinance No. 74-121 and any other ordinance or <br />parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />PASSED: tiL~t/ ~i ~~~ <br />Section 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediate necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to protect residential dwellings in flood prone areas prior to the <br />season that flooding is most likely to occur; and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />ATTEST: <br />.,~/M~ <br />Nora T.
