,~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 74 -~~ <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 3: That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, <br />that all full time employees of the Building Department having <br />completed five (5) years of full time continuous service, as <br />employees of said department, shall be paid an additional 3/ of <br />their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten (10) <br />years full time continuous service, after which such employee shall <br />receive 4/ of their base annual salary, thereafter until the comple- <br />tion of the fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, and <br />thereafter 5/ of their base annual salary until after the completion <br />of the twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and <br />during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% <br />of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 4: In computing length of service for the purpose of <br />making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no <br />credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is <br />only for the purpose of computing longevity increments, and the <br />exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any <br />other benefits which may be due them for part-time service, as <br />employees of the Building Department. <br />SECTION 5: That the employees of the Building Department shall <br />not be required to work the following holidays, unless requested to <br />work by the Building Commissioner in an emergency: New Year's Day; <br />Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; <br />Christmas Day; the employee's birthday; Presidents Day. <br />SECTION 6: That all full time employees of the Building Depart- <br />ment shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service. <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (I5) years full time service. <br />SECTION 7: That for the Building Commissioner and for each full <br />time Inspector of the Building Department, the City of North Olmsted <br />shall pay the full amount single persons rate, of the hospitalization <br />cost for unmarried full fime employees of the Building Department, <br />and in the event the Commissioner of Inspectors, who are full time <br />employees of the Building Department, are married or are head of the <br />family the City of North Olmsted shall contribute an additional sum <br />of $350.00 per year towards the cost of a family hospitalization plan <br />with Blue Cross and Medical Mutual or with the Kaiser Community <br />Foundation Plan. <br />SECTION 8: That any other ordinances, or resolutions, or parts <br />of ordinances, or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to <br />the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance, and <br />especially Ordinance No. 73-68, enacted July 17, 1973, are hereby <br />repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 9: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to <br />forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the <br />Director of Finance for the payment of remuneration, as set forth <br />above, immediately upon its passage. <br />
