+ ~,.. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 74 -~~ <br />BY' <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, SETTING FORTH <br />THE COMPLEMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73-45. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council <br />that it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations <br />of the members of the Fire Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Organizational Chart of the Fire <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 141.02, <br />"Composition and Classification" of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances) shall read as follows: <br />A. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and <br />the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist <br />of the Chief of Fire who shall be in charge of the entire Fire <br />Department. <br />B. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of the General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of, One (1) Assistant <br />Fire Chief (Fire Prevention Bureau), Three (3) Captains, Seven (7) <br />Lieutenants, Twenty-Four (24) Firemen. <br />C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classi- <br />fied by the Director of Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That retroactive to January 1, 1974, and henceforth, <br />the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby <br />fixed and determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief $17,579.00 Annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief <br />(Fire Prevention Bureau) $16,127.00 Annually <br />Captains $14,796.00 Annually <br />Fire Lieutenants $13,574.00 Annually <br />Firemen for First Year $10,428.00 Annually <br />Firemen for Second Year $11,393.00 Annually <br />Firemen after Second Year $12,454.00 Annually <br />Full time Firemen working for <br />the City of North Olmsted <br />during off duty hours $ 3.56 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br />A. Any of the above while assigned to the Fire prevention <br />Bureau shall be paid additional compensation at the rate of $300.00 <br />annually for all time spent while assigned to the Fire Prevention <br />Bureau.
