~, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74- <br />BY: G~~. <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC <br />SERVICE OF COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE JAMES <br />A. PROKASY, A~l'D DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 1973 Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy <br />completed his terms of office ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has represented the <br />residents of the City from January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1973, a period of <br />six (6) years of dedicated service to the residents and to the City of North <br />Olmsted, using his experience, knowledge and dedication in performing his <br />councilmanic duties ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has served as chairman <br />of the Design and Platting Committee, Public Parks, Property and Recreation <br />Committee, Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee and Streets and Drainage <br />Committee ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at -Large James A. Prokasy has served as committee <br />member of the Environmental Control Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, <br />and Recreation Public Parks and Building Committee of Council ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy prior to being elected to <br />Council served on the Planning Commission for four (4) years ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has served on various <br />committees at one time or another during his tenure of office ;and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy was Councils' appointee <br />to the Recreation Commission ; and <br />WHEREAS, in his capacity as Councilman-at-large James A. Prokasy has <br />worked with other municipalities regarding the problem of solid waste disposal <br />and has served the City of North Olmsted faithfully with honesty and dec~.cation ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, during his six (6) years of office ,January 1, 1968 to December <br />31, 1973, the City of North Olmsted has experienced a tremendous rate of growth <br />and Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has authored many ordinances and <br />resolutions designed to letter promulgate and control the growth of industrial and <br />residential development within the City of North Olmsted ; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy, as a resident of the <br />City of North Olmsted and during his terms of office, has given unstintingly of <br />his time never shirking a duty eventhough, oftentimes, the duty was one which <br />required tact and patience, and required him to take many controversial positions <br />as to the outcome ;and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the members of this Council to express their <br />opinion that the valuable contributions of James A.
