~, CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 74- BY: G~~. A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE JAMES A. PROKASY, A~l'D DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, on December 31, 1973 Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy completed his terms of office ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has represented the residents of the City from January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1973, a period of six (6) years of dedicated service to the residents and to the City of North Olmsted, using his experience, knowledge and dedication in performing his councilmanic duties ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has served as chairman of the Design and Platting Committee, Public Parks, Property and Recreation Committee, Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee and Streets and Drainage Committee ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at -Large James A. Prokasy has served as committee member of the Environmental Control Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, and Recreation Public Parks and Building Committee of Council ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy prior to being elected to Council served on the Planning Commission for four (4) years ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has served on various committees at one time or another during his tenure of office ;and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy was Councils' appointee to the Recreation Commission ; and WHEREAS, in his capacity as Councilman-at-large James A. Prokasy has worked with other municipalities regarding the problem of solid waste disposal and has served the City of North Olmsted faithfully with honesty and dec~.cation ; and WHEREAS, during his six (6) years of office ,January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1973, the City of North Olmsted has experienced a tremendous rate of growth and Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy has authored many ordinances and resolutions designed to letter promulgate and control the growth of industrial and residential development within the City of North Olmsted ; and WHEREAS, Councilman-at-Large James A. Prokasy, as a resident of the City of North Olmsted and during his terms of office, has given unstintingly of his time never shirking a duty eventhough, oftentimes, the duty was one which required tact and patience, and required him to take many controversial positions as to the outcome ;and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the members of this Council to express their opinion that the valuable contributions of James A. Prokasy be recognized with ~~, z. .....* _
