;~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7 5 - ~~,~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORISING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN HEALTH PLANNING <br />CORPORATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN A REGIONAL EMER- <br />GENCY MEDICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Health Planning Corporation is <br />attempting to set up a regional emergency medical communication <br />system throughout Cuyahoga County; and, <br />WHEREAS, said organization will provide the City of North <br />Olmsted. with radio equipment in return for participation in a <br />regional system; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement so that the City may participate <br />with other communities; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized. <br />to enter into an agreement with Metropolitan Health Planning <br />Corporation with respect to the participation in a regional emer- <br />gency medical communication system; the agreement of which is <br />attached. hereto, made a part hereof, and marked ".Exhibit A." <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public peace, health, and safety of the City, and for the fur- <br />ther reason that the system be designed to serve anyone in the <br />County who may need emergency medical assistance by helping expedite <br />the system's development, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected. to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED • ,,9 .~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~!~ V <br />NORA T.
