;~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 7 5 - ~~,~ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORISING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN HEALTH PLANNING CORPORATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN A REGIONAL EMER- GENCY MEDICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Health Planning Corporation is attempting to set up a regional emergency medical communication system throughout Cuyahoga County; and, WHEREAS, said organization will provide the City of North Olmsted. with radio equipment in return for participation in a regional system; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement so that the City may participate with other communities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized. to enter into an agreement with Metropolitan Health Planning Corporation with respect to the participation in a regional emer- gency medical communication system; the agreement of which is attached. hereto, made a part hereof, and marked ".Exhibit A." SECTION 2: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of the City, and for the fur- ther reason that the system be designed to serve anyone in the County who may need emergency medical assistance by helping expedite the system's development, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected. to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
