<br />5Cl1::Di:LI: F: <br />COST REI:iB~F` ` :~i`..~~T S1 S"; ~.. <br />GLOSS~~RY OF TER;;S <br />The following terns apply to the cost reir.:bursement system description <br />contained in this document. <br />RTA - Greater Cleveland Regional 'transit Authority (RTA) <br />CITY - The municipality owning a bus system providing <br />scheduled service under contract with RTA. <br />SCHEDULED SERVICE- Service rendered by the City that is covered by <br />contract with RTA. <br />CHARTER SERVICE - Service that is provided to customers to which RTA's <br />fare structure does not apply and which are not <br />covered by the contract between the City and RTA. <br />DEBT SERVICE - Payments of principal and interest by the City on <br />debt incurred for transit assets. <br />DEDICATED COACi.ES- Coaches that are used exclusively for one type of <br />service (regularly scheduled transit service, <br />school service or charter service). <br />DIRECT COST - A term used to describe a cost that can be traced to <br />a specific type of service (See also indirect cost). <br />I-I~`DIRECT COST <br />- ~~ term used to describe a cost that cannot be traced <br />to a specific type of service.
