a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMS~~D~ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 75 <br />Page 2. <br />(1) Twenty (20) Class A Laborers <br />(2) Twenty-six (26) Laborers classified as B and C <br />(3) One (1) Clerk-Typist <br />(4) Summer and part-time help as needed <br />2. Vehicle Maintenance Department <br />a. One (1) Foreman <br />(1) Four (4) Mechanics <br />(2) Two (2) Mechanics Helpers <br />3. Building Maintenance Department <br />a. One (1) Foreman <br />(1) Six (6) Maintenance Men <br />SECTION 5: That retroactive to January 1, 1975, the compensation <br />to be paid to the following employees in the Service Department, of <br />the Public Works Division shall be as follows: <br />Public Works Commissioner $12,000.00 to $18,360.00 Annually <br />Superintendent of Public <br />Service and Properties <br />Section $5.00 to $7.60 Per Hour <br />Vehicle Maintenance Department <br />Foreman $4.75 to $6.85 Per Hour <br />Service Department Foremen $4.40 to $6.50 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be paid bi-weekly by the Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 6: Employees of the Public Works Division shall be <br />paid their regular rate of pay and, shall not be required to work <br />on the following holidays: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; President's <br />Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; <br />the employee`s birthday; and floating holiday. Employees of the <br />above department of the Public Works Division shall not be required <br />to work on the aforesaid holidays unless required to work on said. <br />holidays due to a regular posted work schedule or by the Public <br />Works Commissioner in case of an emergency. <br />SECTION 7: All full-time employees of the Public Works Division <br />except the Secretary to the Public Works Commissioner, having completed <br />five (5) years of full-time continuous service as employees of said <br />department, or having been transferred from some other department <br />by administrative appointment, shall be paid an additional 4% of their <br />base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten (10) years <br />full-time mltinuous service, after which such employee shall receive <br />5% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of their <br />fifteenth (15th) year of continuous full-time service, after which <br />said employee shall receive 6% of their base annual salary until <br />completion of their twentieth (20th) year of continuous full-time <br />service, and thereafter each year of full-time service they shall <br />receive 7% of their base annual safiary as longevity increments. <br />
