CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 7 5 - ~~.~.. BY• Mr. Li.mpert AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FULL-TIME CLERK OF COUNCIL, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 74-94, ENACTED JUNE 18, 1974, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council is aware that the population growth of the City of North Olmsted has imposed more duties upon the Clerk of Council, thereby requiring more time to be expended in order to officially carry out the duties of. the Clerk of Council; and, WHEREAS, Council is aware that it will be necessary to increase the compensation of the Clerk of Council as well as establishing the position of Clerk of Council as a full=time job; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the position of the Clerk of Council for the Council of the City of North Olmsted is hereby declared to be a full- time position and, retroactive to January 1, 1975, the compensation to be paid to the said Clerk of Council shall be between the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($9,720.00) annually. SECTION 2: That the Director of Finance be, and is hereby, directed and authorized to pay to the Clerk of Council a sum which shall be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted between Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,350.00) to Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($9,720.00) annually, in bi-weekly installments for the services performed. by said Clerk of Council, which shall include those services required to be performed by the members of Council, under the Charter of the City, and for those services as shall from time to time be determined to be neces- sary to be performed and which shall be determined by Council, and shall include the necessity of preparing a list of names and addresses of all property owners to be assessed for any assessment proceedings determined to be necessary by Council, and the names and addresses of such owners of land as are necessary for the services of all notices required by law to be made in perfecting assessments for improvements authorized by Council, SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council shall receive as a longe- vity increment, the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each and every year said Clerk of Council has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. This sum is to be paid in a lump sum on anniversary date of employment. SECTION 4: That the full-time Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted shall receive the following holidays off unless required to work by Council or the Mayor in emergencies: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; the employee's birthday; and floating holiday.
