<br />MARCH 6, 1962 - PAGE 3 <br />Mr. Limpert advised that the City has had one Welfare case brought to their <br />attention and that this family had been helped and also requested anyone who <br />has a refrigerator they wanted to dispose of to contact him as this family is <br />in need of one. <br />The recommendation of the Safety, Health & Welfare Committee as stated in their <br />report of March 2, 1962 for the purchase of threer:new police cars was turned <br />over to the Finance Committee for their review. <br />The possible remodeling of the Police Headquarters is to be studied by the <br />Pub1iC Parks, Property and Recreation and the Safety, Health & Welfare <br />Comm iitees . <br />Mr. Limpert advised that school caution lights with caution blinker lights are <br />being investigated as to cost and installing at the three schools on Lorain Rd. <br />and if this can be accomplished and prove sucessful, thought will be given to <br />purchasing the same type of light for the other schools. <br />Mr. Mangani advised that the Public Parks, Property and Recreation Committee <br />is investigating the revision of the rates for the Community Clubhouse and should <br />have more information at a later date. <br />Mr. Mangani also advised that investigation of another site for storage of <br />City equipment is still being studied by the Commitee. <br />Mr. Ck~~istman advised that there still are some details to be worked out <br />with Parkview on their particpation in our Sewer Program. <br />Nicholas Mr. Cast:~- <br />Mr5 •~~1?~~ moved, seconded by XNCi(~X~Kdf~(, that the Law Director be directed <br />to prepare legislation creating a position and fixing compensation at $8.50 per <br />hour for an Assessing Expert and also fixing compensation at $2.75 per hour for <br />the Assessing Board. "Yeas" Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, <br />Nicholas, O'Neill. <br />Mrs. Nicholas requested that the Service Director make an investigation of the <br />storm sewer on Grace Road which seems in need of cleaning. <br />Mr. Leonard commended the Service Director and his Department on the excellent <br />job of snow removal in the recent snow storm. <br />Mr. Caster moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert, that the Law Director write to <br />Mr. S. Biskind requesting him to advise prospective customers of the <br />$3.00 per month sewer rental charge for the Forest Ridge Subdivision so that <br />they are aware of this charge beforethey receive their first bill. "Yeas" <br />Caster, Christman, Leonard, Limpert, Mangani, Nicholas, O'Neill. <br />Mr. O'Neill requested that the Mayor or Service Director review the rate of <br />the sewer rental charge for the east end of the City. The Mayor advised that a <br />review of this will be made after this quarter. <br />Mr. Limpert moved, seconded by Mrs. Nicholas, that Mr. MacDonald's absence be <br />excused.
